The purpose of the Gardening by the Sea Garden Club is to stimulate and share the knowledge, love of gardening, and promote environmental and Audubon awareness among its members.
Serve our community through sharing with residents of Crest Haven facility, observance of Arbor Day with elementary school students, contribute to the community food bank and to further horticultural education, conservation and landscape design while establishing ties through old and new friendships.
Our 2013-2014 Theme
“The Power of Your Garden”
What a thrill to eat that first tomato or see the new perennial bloom. We enjoy our gardens but they provide much more. The birds love the seeds and bees eat the nectar from plants and pollinate them. The herbs provide healing medicine, tea, and enhance our food. Many of us enjoy a cup of herbal tea sweetened with honey. Don’t take your garden for granted!
